Leaves are turning yellow and gold,
in the shadow of a tree it’s cold,
although it’s a sunny day
this year is getting old”
Am I good or what?! :-P Just kidding. But the wind blows. Fall disguised the town. A genuine Autumn. The one that includes yellow pumpkins in the field that I can not see because I live in a city and all I see from my window is more concrete buildings that surround us. But, at least i can imagine what it looks like somewhere in the country right now.

Last decade, although it was never even un-official holiday, a number of Croatian population celebrates Halloween. Conservative part of our population is against that new tradition because of the official religious catholic holiday All Saints, that takes place at 1st of November day when people pay visit to cemeteries and remember their friends and relatives that are no longer with us.
31 of October and 1st of November, collision between religion and tradition on one side and new “imported” habits on the other side. And some say that Halloween is nothing but a consumers society festival… Anyways, I would prefer to have holiday every day :) as long as it makes people happy and not frustrated.
So, after scary and bloody T-Shirt accompanied by Trick or Treat bag that I made with my own custom made unique Photoshop brushes I made a set of Halloween Photoshop brushes.

Photoshop in a Nutshell (In a Nutshell (O’Reilly))
Photoshop 4 is reknowned for its powerful painting and selection tools, along with its color adjustment controls, multiple layer and channel capabilities, and special effect filters. These features make Photoshop the standard for desktop image design and production — enthusiasts in all graphics industries turn to Photoshop again and again to refine the images that define our world.
These same features make for an extremely complex product. Photoshop is sprawling and immense, catering to an incredible quantity of graphic-editing needs. Even experienced designers familiar with most of the features can have trouble remembering every detail.
Unlike most Photoshop books — which try to teach Photoshop — Photoshop in a Nutshell is a detailed reference that will enable Photoshop 4 users to make informed choices as they work, eliminating time spent searching for just the right combination of filters and effects, and reducing the risk of incorrect editing decisions. This book defines and describes every tool, command, palette, and sub-menu in Photoshop 4. Each item is accompanied by a list of its most common uses and misuses, as well as production-oriented background information. Where appropriate, the common uses contain step-by-step techniques, and the common misuses include experience-based advice and solutions.
There are four sections:Photoshop’s toolbox, including the Options Palette settings for each toolThe menu commands, including every item of every dialogThe floating palettes, including the function that each palette provides, as well as the ramifications of every value and palette submenu.
The information in this book is organized in an encyclopedic reference fashion, following the structure of Photoshop itself. All topics are easy to find and fully cross-referenced, allowing you to intuitively explore the cause-and-effect relationships of each command. Any serious Photoshop 4 user will find Photoshop in a Nutshell an invaluable guide.

Awww! My good mood spreads all around!
Two days ago thanks to my net-surfing-craziness I found this great web site called redbubble.
I just love this community because I can create T-Shirts and Greeting Cards out of my work, not just the simple “stock images”! And, I really love the T-Shirt idea!
Imagine this: after only day and a half, my image made it to the front page (that is the one with the strawberry and honey)! Oooo, I’m so happy! You can check my gallery there if you like…
Well, ok. Enough words for today. More about other happy details can be red on my 404039 blog!
To keep the promise, today I present the brand new Photoshop brushes set for download. Brush corners. Hand made :) set of 40 (high res, 440 to 2120 pix)

Love!

This Monday came fast. Today, here in Croatia, it’s our Independence Day.
Last Friday, half of the city left their jobs earlier because people here just love the looong weekends! Also, almost everyone owns something at the coast (house, cottage, apartment…) or has someone in a family who owns something at the coast :-P
Since I didn’t leave the city this time, I went to the nearest wood looking for some wild chestnuts. I didn’t find much but I collected some wood leaves and here’s today’s brush collection: Wood Leaves – set of 26. (Google can read it as: Download Free Photoshop Brushes: Wood Leaves) High resolution Photoshop brushes, sizes from 465 to 2450. Subscribe to my newsletter and download FREE Wood Leaves Phtoshop brushes here <–

P.S.: Where did I collect tree leaves? In and around Zagreb (Croatia)!

I’m so tired today, the fog covered the city (Zagreb) and the moisture is really high.
Anyway, I feel like I have to brag! My dear cousin, Davor Vrankic, the one and only Croatian artist in the Museum Of Modern Art is moving to the USA for a year or two! He is really a great artist. Here in Croatia he is almost totally unknown. It’s so sad. I think, it’s because of the small population size (funny: all Croatian people can fill only the half of the NY city :) and just imagine the number of the art consumers here? Maybe 16 or 23. He had no chance to be discovered here.
I’ve just found out that the last years article claimed that Davor is a Yugoslavian artist! Ha-ha! Funny! Yugoslavia doesn’t exist for more than 10 years! C’mon guys! He is from Croatia!
More about Davor can be found –> here <–
OK. For today I prepared a theme named “grass”. Photoshop brushes, of course. Just a plain grass :). Here’s the link where you can subscribe to my newsletter and download the Grass Photoshop brushes set for free! (Note for a Google: Download Free Photoshop Brush – Grass)

Love!
Ps: I’ve waited for more than 2 hours for my husband to check my blog post grammar because he was sitting in front of the TV, watching „the SOCCER game“.
Our best (at the moment) national soccer team Dinamo just won the game vs. Ajax (Netherlands)… and everyone here in Croatia is HILARIOUS about it!
