And, here is what I did in this video:
1. Window -> Brushes (Could have acomplished the same thing with F5)
2. From Brushes Palette Menu I selected “Open brush library”
3. And, of course, selected Floral Shapes Brushes.

In my next tutorial I will demonstrate how much fun playing with Illustrator brushes can be :)
Stay Tuned :)

Hi there. I tried opening the swirl and star vector graphics as brushes according to the above tutorial and am not seeing them. Is there something special that I should be doing for these? Thanks.
Hi K.G.!
What Illustrator version do you use? My vector brushes are working in Illustrator CS and newer…
I just don’t what I am doing. :) I have CS3. I just made them into PS brushes instead and that is working for what I am doing. Is that alright with you, though? I know you created them as vectors. If it is wrong please let me know and I will rectify that and try again in Illustrator. Thanks Silvia.
Don’t worry K.G. It is absolutely OK. If you wanted to use those brushes in PS and converted them, that’s just fine.
Have fun creating!
Hello, Sylvia. I saved them to C:) Program files/Adobe Illustrator CS3/brushes and opened them up from “other brush library” but they didn’t come up in my palette. I’ve used other symbols and brushes from your site before (and for that, I thank you immensely!!) so I must be saving it incorrectly. Any ideas?
Thanks again for sharing your wonderful talents with us!

Hi Lindsay,
There are several format in that download. Maybe you saved the standard .ai instead of brush .ai. Please check that. Actually, to be on the safe side, just send me the file you are trying to load and I will be able to tell you if that’s the issue.
Can ai brushes be used in Photoshop and if so, how do you load them so that they show up in your brushes when you want to use them? Thanks!
