Guys,

I don’t know what the heck is wrong with me! It’s mid summer and I should be taking it easy somewhere on the beach! But NO! I have to do brushes! More of them! For free!? I know. Call me crazy.

Anyways, after years and years working in strictly professional waters I guess I just feel this whole giving away work so rewarding, and it’s mostly because of you. Just a minute ago, again I received an email with links to the work that’s done with my brushes. And, you won’t believe it, the other day, I was passing by the bar billboard that was done with my brushes. What can I say …

So, here it is, another free Photoshop brush set, this time it’s Ornaments. 6 HiRes Commercial Free Photoshop Brushes! Enough talking, let’s go to to the point. Downloading!

I received a lot of questions about using my Photoshop brushes in Photoshop Elements.

Here is a short video (129 seconds) to show you how to use my (and any other) Photoshop brushes in Photoshop Elements:

  1. 1. Loading brushes
  2. 2. Decorating a family photo

So, here is what’s going on on video:

  1. 1. Select Brush tool (Shortcut “B”)
  2. 2. Expand Brushes palette
  3. 3. Go to “Load brushes”
  4. 4. Browse to the directory with brushes and select “Swirls butterflies PREMIUM set” -> Load
  5. 5. Select one of the brushes
  6. 6. Make sure Hue Jitter is 100% (that is if you want color to vary)
  7. 7. Adjust the size of each of the butterflies by pressing [ (to decrease) or ] (to increase)
  8. 8. Place butterflies around the image

This is just a small intro to answer some of your questions related to compatibility of Photoshop brushes with Elements. This video was done in Elements 6.0
