Unleashing the Midjourney AI Image Creator
Just for fun, I decided to test today how the Midjourney AI Image Creator perceives me. I chose not to include any description or my photograph in the prompts.
First, I added just the word “me” to the prompt. The results were quality and intriguing images. It was clear that the program understood I wanted a portrait and that I am female. However, all portraits were far from what I actually look like. Nevertheless, I found them appealing.
Midjourney’s Imaginary Perception
Next, I added, “Imagine me, how do I look like?” to the prompt. The quartet of images I received was even further from reality. Is Midjourney imagining me as a child? Is it because I am curious and full of questions?
A Glimpse into the AI’s Perspective
My third attempt was with the prompt, “How does AI see me?” Is this our human future? It seems so to me. And it’s quite possible.
Getting Closer?
The fourth prompt I used was, “Draw me as you think I look based on the data you can find”. The image was a bit closer to reality – I do wear glasses and have a similar hair type and style. Midjourney bet 3:1 that I am a woman 🙂
An Incredibly Realistic Attempt?
The fifth prompt was “An incredibly realistic photo of me, based on the information you can find about me”. And it was a total miss! This time, the odds were 3:1 that I am a man. The only accurate aspect was that I wear glasses.
This amusing adventure with Midjourney AI Image Creator reminds us of the ongoing developments in AI technology. It shows how close we are to creating smart systems that can interpret our world – and how far we still have to go!
