Dandelion Clip Art – Make a Wish

I promised my self, in the last blog post, that I will use my designs to create more “tangible”, useful stuff. Mainly because I want to show, give an example, how all those design elements that I sell in my shop can be used to decorate and design everyday objects, like pillows, T-shirs, dresses, tote bags and so on.

And well, once you make a promise, it is a good thing to keep it. Even if you just gave it to yourself.

So, since Dandelions are one of my most popular design elements, I figured, why not make something with them?

And, what do you know, yada-yada-yada and ta-daaaaam! Ladies and gentleman, let me present you with

I could have made a lot more, but I figured it should be ok for now. Just wanted to show you how cool stuff can be made even if you don’t have the time to make your own design elements. You can still make unique creations in the end.

I was thinking, the days we live in, these times, everything is going into the direction of creating unique, personalised and custom made products. This is mainly because todays technology allows for the production of small quanities of almost anything at a reasonable price.

So, for instance, why would you buy a pillow in Ikea where they produced thousands like this when you could make your own unique design for your pillow. It is not just about making it personal for yourself, it is also about making it personal for someone else – if you want to create a gift for someone. Personally, I can not think of a better gift than the one someone actually created just for me.

OK. You don’t have to sew your own pillow, but decoration on it certainly can be unique. This way you show that you did not just went to the mall and picked something randomly for a gift, you show that you actually spent some time to make it. And this is what matters the most.

Well, so much about creating new stuff, making gifts and keeping promises. I hope you like those and maybe it inspired you to make something too.
